Youth Football Coaches (L-R) Kurt Gruenewald, Mark Furdek, Rotarian Gary Cox. Gruenewald and Furdek spoke to the Beaver Dam Rotary about the Beaver Dam Youth Football program. Begun in 1997, the program is designed for children grades 3 through 6. The emphasis of the program is on safety. The program is certified by USA Football with the goal of making football a better and safer game. Although the participants are mostly boys, girls are welcome to participate. There is a $100 fee for each students. Scholarships are available. The cost is kept low because of donations by the community including an annual golf outing.
